He usually goes to bed around 9 and I had to study so it was my secret way of getting him to stay up. The account goes something like this.

"William can I ask you 20 questions?"

William says, "Why?"

"Question 19, how many questions do I have left?"

William says, "18"

"You must be a math teacher"

And then he went to bed. So as he was leaving he said email them to him. Of course I thought that was crazy and remember that he only responds to my serious questions with the answer, "put it in my blog". So instead I will put the questions in my blog and see if William has the guts to answer them.

18. Why do you shy away from my questions and only answer aspects of your vegetarianism through your blog?

17. When I move out do you want my chair?

16. Will you go dancing with us on Halloween?

15. Why don't you quit faking it and show us the meat you hide stashed somewhere in the house.

14. What is the next thing you will do to support your liberalism?

13. Why don't you wear tighter jeans, everyone demands it?

12. Why won't you take me to The Place with you?

11. Why won't you admit I'm your favorite roommate and quit toying with M and J?

10. If you won't get confrontational with me can we be overly agreeable about something? You pick the topic.

9. Is that your beer in the fridge? I am thirsty.

8. Is the closet really quiter?

7. Can you hear me when I go in the hallway and try to yell through the wall at you?

6. What is your favorite color?

5. Why will you not admit that Kelly Clarkson is your favorite pop artist?

4. What is it you really see in MTV?

3. Are you writing a book on this fantasy language you seem to be creating?

2. Will that book be written in the fantasy language?

1. If so how will the rest of us read it?

free will

Free will is the greatest gift we have ever been given by God besides his eternal love. Free will allows us to choose atheism, Buddhism, or Christianity. We can choose to kill people or volunteer our time on medical missions. We can choose to live a lavish life and pursue money and fame, or we can choose to live in a monastery. We can choose to be conservative or liberal. We can choose to be a leader or follower. We can choose our careers, places to shop, where to go on vacation, who to date, who to worship, what to love, what kind of music to love, where to live, etc..

The point of making this list is to point out that we are all individuals. And that it is in our human nature to make our own choices. Some choices are wrong and some are right, but we have the freedom to make either. Isn't this a wonderful thing. Throughout time human nature has been to seek out our inalienable right of freedom. So, make sure to take this gift from God and use it wisely.

I will write a new post at some point in the near future.

I just wanted to let all my fans around the world know that I have taken a hiatus from blogging on purpose. This was because my last blog post was horrible and it hurt me to read it. The post had so many grammatical errors and so many spelling mistakes that it was nearly incomprehensible. Alas, you have had plenty of time to join in my dissappointment and I shall return to the scene shortly (obviously the irony is that with this post I already have). I expect a groundswell of enthusiasm from the communities in the far east and those in south africa that follow. I know your fan mail has helped me through these times. Ok I'll go ahead and make a list.

Best SNES games.

1. Super Mario All Stars
2. Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past
3. The new Kelly Clarkson Album is awesome! So here are my top 5 songs from the album:

5. Don't Let Me Stop You
4. Ready
3. Already Gone
2. Not as harmful to human life, and no I'm not making that parallel, but global warming has probably tricked more people. And economically it is incredibly damaging as well as a destruction of my and every American's liberties. So from one of the champions of this fake science comes this wonderful quote about stem cell research:

"It is about ensuring that scientific data is never distorted or concealed to serve a political agenda - and that we make scientific decisions based on facts, not ideology," Obama said.

Obama is great at saying the exact opposite of what he does. The exact opposite. Well I should say he is great at reading the exact opposite b/c we all know he is an average speaker at best and a great reader. Anyways, the ban on stem cell research simply did not allow government funding. Which I'm fine with b/c I think the government needs to fund a lot less of a lot of things. And the dilemma was about killing babies not science. So his quote is just pandering to his voters, who love non-intellectual crap.

Go Green....

Hope Ehh

I had hope that we could solve this financial crisis until today. That’s right. This pork bill has nothing to do with the economy. Well very little. I’ll give “Him” that their are a few billion dollars in there that might cut taxes. But certainly not the business tax rate. Or the capital gains. No this bill will do the opposite of stimulating the economy. Yeah the economy will come back (hopefully) but not because of this bill. Fake jobs go away. Just like the did when FDR (author of the RAW deal) created them. See an economy’s prosperity is directly related to the prosperity of the private sector. Big business, small business, medium business, publicly traded business, car companies, banks, and on and on. This is a fact. FACT. How can I prove this you ask? Well its simple. The governments prosperity is drawn (in the long term, and I plan on being in this Country longer than “His” one term) directly from taxes. Taxes generated by income made in the private sector. I just said "governments prosperity". I'm going to go throw up on my copy of the constitution.

So , there is a pie called the world’s GDP and it has to be divided up. The pie can grow larger with innovation or new industries. New segments of the population stepping up to the plate. But obviously none of that is happening now. In fact a larger portion of the population is now going back to the dugout for more free peanuts and Gatorade. (terrible analogy). So when “He” gives a large portion of my money (10k per household) to government he is taking away from my pie. And I’m hungry. Cause I’m an American. We like to work. We like to prosper. We like to give our best and have something to show for it. Or at least we used to…
But enjoy working for the next few months or however long it takes for you to pay “His” plans tab b/c its not your money. I figure I will now work till about May paying for my portion of the bill. Of course I’m ignoring the fact that tons of people don’t pay taxes so my burden is larger than that. Yeah I’m being punished for working. Fantastic. Just what we need to bring the economy back. And don’t get sentimental on me. I give hundreds a paycheck to welfare. Just not by choice. And no I don’t even want to give that much. Let me decide who I give my money to. Anyways, …
So yes I have lost hope. It will come back but let me have my moment. Also, I will be emailing and calling the three “republicans” that kept the others from filibustering this bill. I will also call the RNC and tell them to deny any funding to those senators campaigns in the future. I do not want them in office. Lets call a dog a dog and get a Democrat in those three seats if that’s what those wackos that live up there want.

And I encourage you all to rip into your senators and representatives. Plus emailing the white house and telling them to leave America alone might be a good idea as well.

And yes I’m listening to some rock music right now. I need to release. AFI. Fantastic. Probably voted for Obama. Wrote this on a macbook. Jobs loves Obama. Capitalism has been good to these people though. Why vote against it?

Evolution

Paging all those who like critical thought, debate, religion, politics, faith, science, and then some!!!! I just saw Expelled which is a documentary by Ben Stein. Basically he is taking on the questions of intelligent design. There is no way that I can convey the message better than him but I will at least give a summary and encourage you to watch the movie.

So what Mr. Stein does is question what happens to those scientists that mention intelligent design. And the answer is that they lose funding, are fired, denied tenure, or basically have their academic careers ruined. He sets the movie up with questions or hypothesis and then provides answers through interviews on both sides of the issue. Its actually quite scientific. Ha. K. The movie then goes into how Darwinism is essential for Nazism. Though all Darwinists are not Nazi’s of course, but Nazi’s must be Darwinists. That believing in a race being inferior and that cleansing the world of that race is simply a bi-product of natural selection. That Hitler was in his view helping evolution.

Believing in evolution breeds atheist and a devaluation of the human life. This is one of the major themes. That there is a war between religion and science. As a person who has loved science his whole life and has a strong faith that is central to my life, none of that makes sense to me. I feel like I can research animal species or medicine or space and my beliefs will not in the least effect that research. This is simply another attack on faith.

Anyways, watch the documentary. Its well worth your time.

We Salute you Dallas, Texas!

So I have been meaning to write this post for some time but have not yet put fingers to keyboard. Basically the point of this post is this: AC/DC is the greatest rock band of all time. Every person in the American Airlines Center when I saw them was blown away. I say this with full confidence. From the casual fan who just hears Angus shred the opening of Thunderstruck in the background of a sports arena during a football game to the rabid school boy uniform wearing life long fan screaming the words during every song, we were rocked. The music is pure energy. I can’t describe to you the feeling of having Angus Young 100 feet from me playing a guitar solo. Amazing. Their set designs were all out. A giant train with devil horns graced the stage throughout the set. They brought the bell down for Hells Bells, the giant blow up of Rosie with her 30 foot wide boobs made an appearance, and of course the cannons sent us on our way home. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then go out and buy ACDC live. Great DVD.

While most bands that had all of this going on a stage would seem overproduced or cheesy, it seems perfectly at home for an ACDC concert. In fact I’d say ACDC rose above all of that stuff. Their music was built for 100,000 screaming, jumping, fist pumping fans to rock out to in a field or stadium somewhere. It was the loudest concert I’ve ever been to, and I wanted more. On the Jack, Angus is standing there after he performed his strip tease with no shirt and tiny black pants, and his guitar. The groove of slow rock blues. He hits a note. Guitar rips through the arena. I mean that tiny little string sends everyone to a frenzy. People scream and fist pump for just one more note. There it comes. Then another. You can feel the excitement. By the time the band fully kicked back in and the pace of the notes picked up most people were banging or at a minimum bobbing their heads up and down. Then the chorus where everyone screams “Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack!” I mean the whole premise of this song is disgusting yet every person there was loving it. This band is great.

They played many of the greats from Back in Black to Highway to Hell and my favorite shoot to thrill. I could go on and on, but am sick of typing how awesome this was. I can’t really convey the enormity of the situation. When a concert ends with a full sized cannon salute to those rocking in the arena, you can’t go wrong. That’s right there were cannons there.

No one left until they turned the lights on at the end. Even then people were hoping it was a joke. They haven’t played in Dallas in 8 years and at that rate may not again. But if they do, do yourself a favor and go see greatness.

The Dream

So Casey had a dream the other night and I have to mention it because its probably my favorite dream of all time of any dream i've ever heard. (was that a run-on?)

ok, so basically I'm this financial market leader type figure. Wall street type guy but pretty famous like say JP Morgan in the 30s or whatever. Something like that... anyways I figured out how to fix the current economy. Now the government doesn't want anyone to know these solutions that I have found b/c they want to control our lives. So I tell a few influential people when and where so I can get the word out before they catch me. I'm standing on the corner of the stock exchange on Wall Street explaining to the people how to fix the situation. basically I'm thinking on my own. Clearly not what "the man" wants. Everyone is trying to write down these things I am saying. Some government agent hears me on the street and alerts the FBI who is of course already on to me. The people listening basically know I'm going to be arrested for sharing this information, so its a pretty dramatic situation. i know im going down but i don't care. i have to speak out. the FBI shows up and takes me into custody.

So the next scene is in the courtroom and im in an orange jumpsuit with handcuffs. Casey is on the witness stand and they ask her during a line of questioning, "..so do you think that Mr. Bowles would admit publicly he was wrong and back down on what he has said?" There is a long dramatic pause and Casey stands up and screams "He would Die First!!!!" I immediately jump up out of my seat and start yelling, "thats what I'm talking about!" and as the bailiff and officers are getting me under control the audience in the courtroom begins shouting "USA USA USA USA USA!!!!!!!"

After Casey told me this I was so pumped I was pretty much yelling, "thats what I'm talking about" in real life. And not just because the dream was awesome but because my girlfriend dreamt this about me! She is awesome! And so am I in her dreams!

jasons deli

i have eaten there twice this week. during the summer when i worked on one particular client who had an office right next to jason's i ate there everyday for three months. there is so much variety. if you are bored you can go to a different genre. amazing. but of course we all end up going to our favorites. mine is managers special withe a club and broccoli and cheese soup. and swirl soft serve.

so here is the question, we all have different favorites. and no matter how many times i tried different things, in the end i would go back to my club and broccoli and cheese. so does this not prove in one more way that we are all unique people? inherently from birth. no one told me to like this just like no one told my co-worker to like ranchero wraps. am i thinking too much here?

my brother is closing on a house tomorrow. he is crazy. and i say congrats to him.

i come home from a work week in houston tomorrow. can't wait. I know absolutely no one in Houston. Drew did live here until he left me for China, but anyway... the point of this post is that a hurricane hit here last summer. Not only did it damage a lot of roofs, of which i could see when we flew in, but it also apparently cause some type of mold or something in the Holiday Inn Express on 59. Of course they don't tell you these things till you get here. Anyways, of course its still full price (not that I'm paying). So long story short there is a giant floor to ceiling 3 foot wide gap in the sheetrock in my hotel room with plastic on it. Behind the sheetrock is cinder blocks with only space for metal beams they used to hang the sheetrock with. So its not like there is a hole there but for 140 a night its ridiculous.

speaking of, those with an iphone listen up. If you like tower defense games, and who doesn't, fieldrunners is awesome. really just an awesome fun game. and also sim city just came out for iphone. I haven't made my decision to get it yet b/c its 10 bucks and would consume a ton of time, but it looks awesome on youtube.

I can't believe I'm going to be on vacation for 15 days starting friday at 5 when i get to the airport and have a drink at the airport bar. Speaking of, who doesn't love airport bars. I mean they are usually decent bars. mostly overpriced. but it seems they always make the drinks strong. however, the best part is of course that you are going somewhere. work is over. vacation is on its way. no one goes to an airport bar before the 7 am monday business flight. heck im still asleep for those. but those friday afternoon airport bar times are golden. everyone is having a blast. so fun. one time our plane was delayed and pretty much everyone on the plane was trashed. like the movie soul plane but without a "real" dancefloor and all the booty music. we ended up landing at like 1 AM b/c of a huge storm and delays. About 80% of the people were still up and the conversations were definitely bar conversations. Never before have I seen a plane that lands at 1AM have more than 10% of the people awake. This was a party. Lawyers, Accountants, investment brokers, and salesmen all talking about who is hot or not and cussing about their favorite football team to a bunch of people they don't know. Hilarious. And of course southwest gave free drinks for the delay making the situation even better. I hope this friday its a party plane as well. Albiet an on-time one. 1 point.
<img width='1' height='1' and not "tone down" for the better time slot. Conan thrives in a crazy, uncontrolled environments. I can remember New years eve with corn and cows and "rock hard party nipples". I can remember him telling 3 jokes in a monologue b/c he kept walking like he was on stairs back and forth through the camera view, and then pretending he was donald trump. I remember the tv coming down with the inappropriate channel. i could go on and on, and you can post your favorite conan skits if you want. my point is that none of that stuff is going to fly at the earlier slot.

goodwill

So casey and I went to Goodwill in search of bad Christmas sweaters for a party. While we were there I couldn't help but think that I was using this trip as a joke and many of the people in the store had to shop there b/c they have no money. I don't necessarily think that there is anything wrong with going shopping for ugly clothes at goodwill. After all I am contributing to the "cause" because I am purchasing something at the store. And honestly I am doing the person that would have actually bought that sweater in seriousness a favor by taking it off the shelf. but i still couldn't help but think of the situations i have described here.

also, i went to northpark mall today. after purchasing some stuff for myself and a bit of Christmas shopping I walked past the angel tree. Casey and I couldn't help but pick one up. We found an awesome 11 year old that wanted a telescope. how sweet is that?!?!?! this kid could be a future astronomer or astronaut. and why not, this is America. Where anyone can become anything. anyways, the point is that i challenge all of your reading this to also pick up an angel after shopping at northpark. If you can spend $200 bucks in neiman marcus then you can spend 30 bucks on a coat for a kid that needs to be warm. plus the salvation army is one of the truly great charities that actually spends most of its money helping people instead of setting up fundraisers for rich people and movie stars. i love the salvation army.

and yes im depressed about tech football. however, i have to once again be thankful for how far we have come. we were happy to just beat a&m or Ut and get to a bowl game only a few years ago. Now its bcs or bust. and we are going to finish in the top ten barring an upset this year. while im disappointed and need to be thankful for how well our team has played this year. and for all you haters, i think we might be better next year besides two people. two important people but still, we could be better

Houston

Well I'm in Houston this week. Work has sucked and been draining so while I sit in a hotel room at night alone I still am not motivated to blog. Or study. Or do just about anything. Sometimes at the end of a tough day we just want to relax. Sometimes at the end of a tough day we want to be busy. Who knows why these things happen. People give reasons, many of the reasonable. But sometimes these things happen and they make no sense.

The conservative party does not equal big government. Thanks W....

I downloaded the constitution app on my iphone. For all of you with iphones its a must. Anytime you are bored or have a minute just read some of the constitution. It makes you smarter. Especially in arguments with libs. Especially about Obama. but alas that is for another post.

i had a meeting with a real jerk face today. it went really well. these things happen when you pray and think positive. also remember this, when dealing with cocky jerk faces remember to keep your confidence. be very polite. very confident. prepare. these guys look for something that you don't know and then are a jerk about that specific thing. so you have to beat them. logan 1 jerk face 0.

i did not re read this post.

Moral Delimma

(Currently listening to Metallica's album Death Magnetic)

okay so I was in Lubbock for the OSU game and we went out to the piano bar afterwards to celebrate. at one point during the night most of the people in our group had left (about 1:45). i of course was closing it down. now that whole corner of the bar where the tables were was empty. they started playing Sexual Healing. I couldn't help but begin an inappropriate suggestive dance (with myself casey). of course the rest of the bar was doing the same thing so no one noticed. There happened to be a ten dollar bill on the table in front of me. Remember no one was at any of these tables. so of course i put the ten dollar in my pants and left the end sticking out to finish my dance. who wouldn't. anyways, i left the bar and the ten dollars was still there. although i did not intentionally take the ten dollars I also do not know whom it belonged to in order to return it. there were no waitresses so if it was a tip it was ill placed. if it was someone's that was sitting in that area then they left it but how could i find them? anyways, i NEVER steal anything. Heck, I found 20 bucks on the ground at Voodoo fest next to a beer tent and asked the beer guys if they would hold on to it in case someone came looking for it. there's 20 bucks donated to beer guy...

anyways, i feel terrible about the incident and so today I gave the ten bucks (yes the same bill) to the salvation army at Wal-Mart. (whose year over year is up 10% this month. God bless inflation stopping Wal-Mart) So I guess I don't really feel that much better but I think the world is realigned and you all can now go about your lives.

Plus I immediately had good luck, not that i was looking for a benefit. I saw a guy that works at Wal Mart in uptown that looks like Herman Li from Dragonforce. How awesome is that!?!?! btw my bro has my ticket for the show monday b/c I have to go out of town for work. let him know if you want it. so anyways, Herman Li, it was sweet. I always imagine Mr. Li with a huge wang flying around on a winged steed and a fiery sword defeating evil surrounded by babes. This guy was a gay checker at Wal mart but I still imagined it.

that wal-mart has the most diverse group of people. its fantastic. other than the fact that a cop has to stand in the parking lot and by the checkouts. diverse should not equal crime. but really i love going there. seeing all kinds of demographics. im talking about wal-mart a lot. maybe the name of this post should be wal-mart.

One Headlight

I saw two cars in the past hour with one headlight. One while driving home and one while running back from the gym, literally. I couldn't help but think that anyone from my generation has to be thinking, "Where did the Wallflowers go?" when they see a car with one headlight. I know that I at least sing "one headlight" every time I see one. good band.

also, i have my test in the morning. audit exam. i can't help but not be freaking out. i almost never do. im the kind of person that studies a few hours (or less) a day for a long time and then just keeps that routine before the test. even if im not prepared. maybe i should learn to cram. might improve my scores. ladies.

and maybe we would have less jobs from our united states companies oversees if we would lower the corporate tax rate. the libs will probably raise it though. then complain that bush has caused jobs to go oversees after he has left office. then mumble something about NAFTA or this columbia thing. i can't wait.

Words

I have always been a person that understands numbers more than words. I can remember even as a child enjoying math problems, whereas I have no such memory of equal pleasure for words. Do not misinterpret me, I love reading (when not studying for the CPA exam) and do it quite often. I have dreams of having a library in my home one day. I absorb knowledge in any form, and because of that, I love reading. However, this does not change my view on words. Let me explain. I have been hardwired as a logical person. As I have grown up numbers have always had a definite point, an answer. We sometimes question where a person’s numbers are coming from, but if the numbers are erroneous or incomplete then it is always the person at fault. We never accuse numbers. We say, “I don’t know where YOU are getting YOUR numbers from?” Our intent is never that your numbers are lying. That 5 is really a 6. However, two people can say the same thing with many different words. One can be lying and one can be telling the truth. A word can be distorted to mean something else entirely. Words can influence the way we feel and think. Numbers are what they are, a point or location in quantification of some type of data or reason. I realize that it is with words that we communicate, and that we inspire. Words can change a world with vision, but they can also create a mob. Because of this I have a great respect for words, but without some concrete backup such as history, facts, or numbers they lose their meaning.

The election has brought to the forefront this topic. The founding fathers of this country put a magnitude of thought into the words they chose when creating the documents that this country was founded upon. As I have stated above many words are cheap to me. I always second guess. However, our founding fathers are hard to second guess. They put their “money where there mouth was” so to speak. They did not just talk, they created. They started a rebellion. They created the freest country in the history of the world. Escaped and DID SOMETHING about the oppression they were experiencing within religion, expression, and other freedoms. These words they wrote meant something. They are, again, what our country is founded on. We have hundreds of years of history that back up the FACT that our constitution provides for the freest society the world has ever seen. If we are to base America on a set of words, then it is the Constitution that shall dictate our countries ideals.

The preamble to the Constitution of the United States, the greatest document ever written, states “…. PROVIDE for the common defense, PROMOTE the general welfare, and SECURE the blessings of liberty…” There is no small coincidence that our founding fathers felt that the people should provide a common defense but only promote general welfare. And then of course the harshest verb used here is “secure”, as it is definitive while expressing the importance of our liberties. While socialism and “welfare” as we know it was not defined in 1776, our founding fathers clearly understood and believed that the government should not provide welfare, but PROMOTE it. In other words voice support, but do not provide it. If our country was meant to provide for the welfare of the citizen then do you not think they would have written that? This point is essential to our constitution. The Preamble has been referenced many times by the Supreme Court in order to provide background and tone for the rest of the constitution. Those that believe that a welfare state has any place in America, that socialism has any place in the principles that this country was founded on need to look no further than the constitution. We the people…. Nowhere do I hear, “We the government!” Heck the founders of our country even went so far as to provide a Bill of Rights. The focus of that document is not rights the government gives to the people, but rights that LIMIT the government’s power.

So, when analyzing this election and its meaning do not forget that 57 million people got up out of their couches, chairs, and jobs to vote against the degradation of these principles. No, McCain is not a conservative. But Obama is a socialist. His tax refunds for those who pay no taxes is just one of many ways we know this to be true. I know that many of you out there did not vote for McCain but against Obama. And I know many of you voted for Obama because you were sick of the Republican party. But note, the republican party has been led by moderates in recent history. Moderates do not make good Presidents. Look at what has happened to “W”. Eventually his moderate tone has left almost no one on his side. His reduction in taxes and at the same time outrageous spending has perplexed any logic thinker to wonder which side of center he is on.

So I say this, those who oppose or that have lost their way from the conservative principles that this country was founded on can no longer attach their disdain to a person. No longer can they dismiss thought by hatred of a man. No, the principles themselves are now at the forefront of the conversation. No one accepts socialism in their direct personal lives. No one wants their raise taken and gave to their fellow employees that don’t work as hard so that they can continue to slack. No one gets in to an Ivy League school and then hopes to be forced to go to the local community college so that 4 others can also go to community college on their money in order to create a level playing field. No our generosity is best expressed through our liberties. We give best, and most, out of freedom, not some law or order. This country lives conservatively. Yet we have elected liberals. The Republican Party has a chance to renew itself and cleanse those moderates that are only looking for acceptance or re-election. It’s time to look tall ladies and gentleman. Be proud of the principles you use in your everyday life. Enjoy those freedoms that allow us to volunteer out of the goodness of our heart to help the poor. The freedoms that allow us to take collections at our churches so that youth can attend a trip when they do not have the money. Take pride in those freedoms that allow those inspired to help a stranger or a man on the side of the road. Give thanks for those freedoms that allow an individual to be born poor, and die rich. Be grateful for those freedoms that give us the choice to take responsibility to help our fellow neighbors during times of need. Rejoice for those freedoms that allow an atheist, Muslim, Jew, and Christian to all live on the same block in peace. But most of all voice that you want these freedoms to be your choice, not a government mandate. I feel a revival. A revival based on the words of the Constitution of the United States of America. And those words are built on the fundamental foundation of the human spirit. Freedom!
