Hope Ehh

I had hope that we could solve this financial crisis until today. That’s right. This pork bill has nothing to do with the economy. Well very little. I’ll give “Him” that their are a few billion dollars in there that might cut taxes. But certainly not the business tax rate. Or the capital gains. No this bill will do the opposite of stimulating the economy. Yeah the economy will come back (hopefully) but not because of this bill. Fake jobs go away. Just like the did when FDR (author of the RAW deal) created them. See an economy’s prosperity is directly related to the prosperity of the private sector. Big business, small business, medium business, publicly traded business, car companies, banks, and on and on. This is a fact. FACT. How can I prove this you ask? Well its simple. The governments prosperity is drawn (in the long term, and I plan on being in this Country longer than “His” one term) directly from taxes. Taxes generated by income made in the private sector. I just said "governments prosperity". I'm going to go throw up on my copy of the constitution.

So , there is a pie called the world’s GDP and it has to be divided up. The pie can grow larger with innovation or new industries. New segments of the population stepping up to the plate. But obviously none of that is happening now. In fact a larger portion of the population is now going back to the dugout for more free peanuts and Gatorade. (terrible analogy). So when “He” gives a large portion of my money (10k per household) to government he is taking away from my pie. And I’m hungry. Cause I’m an American. We like to work. We like to prosper. We like to give our best and have something to show for it. Or at least we used to…
But enjoy working for the next few months or however long it takes for you to pay “His” plans tab b/c its not your money. I figure I will now work till about May paying for my portion of the bill. Of course I’m ignoring the fact that tons of people don’t pay taxes so my burden is larger than that. Yeah I’m being punished for working. Fantastic. Just what we need to bring the economy back. And don’t get sentimental on me. I give hundreds a paycheck to welfare. Just not by choice. And no I don’t even want to give that much. Let me decide who I give my money to. Anyways, …
So yes I have lost hope. It will come back but let me have my moment. Also, I will be emailing and calling the three “republicans” that kept the others from filibustering this bill. I will also call the RNC and tell them to deny any funding to those senators campaigns in the future. I do not want them in office. Lets call a dog a dog and get a Democrat in those three seats if that’s what those wackos that live up there want.

And I encourage you all to rip into your senators and representatives. Plus emailing the white house and telling them to leave America alone might be a good idea as well.

And yes I’m listening to some rock music right now. I need to release. AFI. Fantastic. Probably voted for Obama. Wrote this on a macbook. Jobs loves Obama. Capitalism has been good to these people though. Why vote against it?

Evolution

Paging all those who like critical thought, debate, religion, politics, faith, science, and then some!!!! I just saw Expelled which is a documentary by Ben Stein. Basically he is taking on the questions of intelligent design. There is no way that I can convey the message better than him but I will at least give a summary and encourage you to watch the movie.

So what Mr. Stein does is question what happens to those scientists that mention intelligent design. And the answer is that they lose funding, are fired, denied tenure, or basically have their academic careers ruined. He sets the movie up with questions or hypothesis and then provides answers through interviews on both sides of the issue. Its actually quite scientific. Ha. K. The movie then goes into how Darwinism is essential for Nazism. Though all Darwinists are not Nazi’s of course, but Nazi’s must be Darwinists. That believing in a race being inferior and that cleansing the world of that race is simply a bi-product of natural selection. That Hitler was in his view helping evolution.

Believing in evolution breeds atheist and a devaluation of the human life. This is one of the major themes. That there is a war between religion and science. As a person who has loved science his whole life and has a strong faith that is central to my life, none of that makes sense to me. I feel like I can research animal species or medicine or space and my beliefs will not in the least effect that research. This is simply another attack on faith.

Anyways, watch the documentary. Its well worth your time.

We Salute you Dallas, Texas!

So I have been meaning to write this post for some time but have not yet put fingers to keyboard. Basically the point of this post is this: AC/DC is the greatest rock band of all time. Every person in the American Airlines Center when I saw them was blown away. I say this with full confidence. From the casual fan who just hears Angus shred the opening of Thunderstruck in the background of a sports arena during a football game to the rabid school boy uniform wearing life long fan screaming the words during every song, we were rocked. The music is pure energy. I can’t describe to you the feeling of having Angus Young 100 feet from me playing a guitar solo. Amazing. Their set designs were all out. A giant train with devil horns graced the stage throughout the set. They brought the bell down for Hells Bells, the giant blow up of Rosie with her 30 foot wide boobs made an appearance, and of course the cannons sent us on our way home. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then go out and buy ACDC live. Great DVD.

While most bands that had all of this going on a stage would seem overproduced or cheesy, it seems perfectly at home for an ACDC concert. In fact I’d say ACDC rose above all of that stuff. Their music was built for 100,000 screaming, jumping, fist pumping fans to rock out to in a field or stadium somewhere. It was the loudest concert I’ve ever been to, and I wanted more. On the Jack, Angus is standing there after he performed his strip tease with no shirt and tiny black pants, and his guitar. The groove of slow rock blues. He hits a note. Guitar rips through the arena. I mean that tiny little string sends everyone to a frenzy. People scream and fist pump for just one more note. There it comes. Then another. You can feel the excitement. By the time the band fully kicked back in and the pace of the notes picked up most people were banging or at a minimum bobbing their heads up and down. Then the chorus where everyone screams “Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack!” I mean the whole premise of this song is disgusting yet every person there was loving it. This band is great.

They played many of the greats from Back in Black to Highway to Hell and my favorite shoot to thrill. I could go on and on, but am sick of typing how awesome this was. I can’t really convey the enormity of the situation. When a concert ends with a full sized cannon salute to those rocking in the arena, you can’t go wrong. That’s right there were cannons there.

No one left until they turned the lights on at the end. Even then people were hoping it was a joke. They haven’t played in Dallas in 8 years and at that rate may not again. But if they do, do yourself a favor and go see greatness.
